Challenge

A Japanese energy major needed to assess the viability of small-scale LNG supply and distribution across the Philippine island archipelago — a complex geography with fragmented demand, limited infrastructure, and significant regulatory variability between island provinces.

Approach

We ran a comprehensive feasibility study combining spatial demand modelling, infrastructure gap analysis, affordability assessment, and regulatory mapping across the key island provinces, built on our Explorer GIS platform.

Result

Challenge

A major utility required a power market model spanning six GCC countries to support long-term fuel procurement and capacity planning — covering diverse generation mixes, interconnection flows, and rapidly evolving renewable targets.

Approach

We built a bottom-up dispatch and fuel-demand model across all six countries, integrating generation asset databases, load profiles, interconnector flows, fuel price scenarios, and national renewable energy targets — then handed it over as an operable in-house tool.

Challenge

An infrastructure fund evaluating a significant renewable investment required independent technical, contractual, and financial due diligence — with particular concern about resource assessment accuracy, grid risk, and hidden project-level exposure.

Approach

We delivered a diligence programme integrating CFD flow modelling, weather simulation analysis, contract review, and financial model audit — identifying several non-obvious risk factors and quantifying their impact on project returns.

Challenge

A global energy major needed a comprehensive, queryable database of global energy infrastructure — pipelines, LNG terminals, power generation assets — to support geographic expansion decisions and competitive intelligence across its strategy function.

Approach

We designed and built the database on our geospatial platform, integrating multiple public and proprietary sources, delivered a custom WebGIS interface, and trained the client's team to operate and extend it independently.
